🎄 Candy & Gift Donations Needed for the Destin Christmas Parade! 🎁

Posted Date: 12/05/25 (09:25 AM)

Sharks and Families,

Destin High School is excited to announce that multiple DHS groups will be marching in the Destin Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 13, 2025, and we need your help to make the celebration special for our community! All students are invited to walk the parade and help throw candy to the crowd! The only requirement is to show up for the parade line-up in Destin High School Spirit Wear!

🍬 Candy Donations
Our students will be tossing candy along the parade route, and we are asking for donations of individually wrapped candy (no chocolate, please).
Candy may be delivere
d to Captain Brandy Miles’ classroom or the DHS Front Office anytime starting today through next Friday (December 12).

🎁 Gift Donations
DHS is also partnering with the City of Destin to collect new, unwrapped gifts for young children. These gifts will be distributed during the parade to families in need of a little extra holiday cheer.

Your kindness helps our students shine and ensures that children across Destin experience the joy of the season. Thank you for supporting Destin High School and our community!

Go Sharks!

🎉 DESTIN HIGH SCHOOL PARADE UPDATE 🎉

Sharks and Families,

We’re gearing up for an incredible day this Saturday, and I want to share two quick but important updates:

1. We are still accepting donations of candy and small toys!
Our students are ready to represent DHS with pride, and your donations help us make a strong, spirited showing on the parade route. If you’re able, please drop items off at the front office by noon tomorrow (Friday, December 12, 2025) Every bit helps! Also, all students should bring a bag of candy to the parade!

2. NEW MEETING LOCATION, PLEASE NOTE!
Due to the large size of our parade group (a great problem to have!), Destin High School will now meet at the Church of Christ, located right next to Destin Methodist. This gives us the space we need to gather, organize, and get everyone parade ready.

We are expecting every student to show up in full Shark spirit: energized, hyped up, and ready to throw candy on behalf of Destin High School! This is a great opportunity to show our community who we are and to have an unforgettable time together.

📍 Meeting Location: Church of Christ (next to Destin Methodist)
⏰ Arrival Time: 9:15 AM Saturday
🎉 Come ready to cheer, toss candy, and represent DHS!

Let’s show Destin what Shark Pride looks like. Get hyped, come out, support our team, and have a blast!

Go Sharks!
