Destin High School

In 2025, Co-Founder and Governing Board President, Heidi Rudiger LoCicero and her family, established a Memorial Scholarship in honor her late father, Edward F. Rudiger, Sr.'s, life and legacy. 

During the founding and start-up of Destin High, Mrs. LoCicero's father was constant encourager and mentor for the lofty goal to give Destin its very first high school. He often reminded Heidi that while "the road may be difficult, the reward of educating bright young minds, made the hard work worthwhile...never give up."  When he toured the new campus, he was impressed with the state of the art campus and strides being made for local education. 

This scholarship fund will ensure that Mr. Rudiger's legacy will live on by touching the lives of students and the Destin High for years to come.
